MedStar Family Choice is a provider-sponsored Managed Care Organization servicing the Medicaid programs in the state of Maryland and Washington, D.C. In the District of Columbia, the Medicaid Managed Care Program is administered by the Department of Healthcare Finance (DHCF). In Maryland, the HealthChoice Program and the Maryland Children's Health Program are operated by the Maryland Department of Health (MDH).

District of Columbia
MedStar Family Choice was awarded a contract as a Medicaid Managed Care Organization in September 2020. MedStar Family Choice will provide healthcare and pharmacy services for its Managed Care Program. The Medicaid Managed Care Program (MMCP) consists of the DC Healthy Families Program (DCHFP), including Adults with Special Health Care Needs, (adults receiving Supplemental Security-Income (SSI) and with SSI-related disabilities), the District of Columbia Healthcare Alliance Program (Alliance), and the Immigrant Children’s Program (ICP). Our provider network is comprised of several hundred providers located throughout the District of Columbia.
