As a member of MedStar Family Choice, you can have online doctor visits through MedStar eVisit – Telehealth for free and without an appointment. You can use this service anytime, day or night, all year round, from your own home. Doctors from MedStar Health will check you for common sicknesses and injuries and help you with treatment plans. You can join by downloading the app on your tablet, phone, or using a computer.
Remember to dial 911 or go to the emergency room if you have a serious medical issue.
How MedStar eVisit - Telehealth works.
- Get the MedStar eVisit app on your Apple iPhone or Android device, or click here on your computer (make sure you have a web camera and microphone).
- Make an account.
- Confirm your MedStar Family Choice insurance plan.
- You don't need an appointment. After making your account, you can talk with a certified MedStar Health provider whenever you need.
- Your health provider will talk with you, figure out what's wrong, give you a prescription, or assist with a referral if necessary.
- Keep the app on your phone (or save it on your computer) so that MedStar eVisit – Telehealth is always ready when you need it.

Conditions Medstar eVisit - Telehealth can treat.
All MedStar eVisit – Telehealth providers treat many of the same conditions that you would seek care for at a MedStar Health Urgent Care Center. Log into MedStar eVisit if you are experiencing any of the following:
- Rash or hives
- Headaches or migraines
- Sinus infections, which are caused by allergies, viruses, and bacteria.
- Urinary tract infections in females
- Tick–borne illness (Lyme)
- Seasonal allergies
- Pink eye
- Nausea, vomiting, or diarrhea
- Joint or back pain
- Minor cuts or burns.
- Insect or minor animal or human bites
- Minor falls without head injury
- Minor motor vehicle accidents without bone tenderness or pain
When to not use MedStar eVisit - Telehealth.
- You should not use MedStar eVisit – Telehealth if you feel very sick and need to see a doctor in–person for severe flu symptoms. These symptoms can include having trouble breathing, chest pain, feeling dizzy, confusion, throwing up a lot, or if your flu symptoms get better but then get worse again.
- If you have a very serious problem and need immediate help, please call 911 or go to the closest emergency room.

MedStar eVisit – Telehealth won't cost anything for MedStar Family Choice members.
